Beginning Thursday July 1, 1999 the work of John W. Jones will be on exhibit at the Rhodes Center for the Arts, 3107 Firestone Road, North Charleston, SC and will remain on display until July 31.

Jones paints in oils, acrylics and watercolors and his work graces the cover of the Charleston Chamber of Commerce Visitor's Guide. He has produced published color illustrations for Time-Life Books, NASA, IBM, Westinghouse and U.S. Postal Service.

In fact, this has been a record year for Jones, who has also won a number of local honors. He was awarded the 1999 Piccolo Spoleto Merit Award for the festival's outdoor exhibit, and his artwork was featured on the 1999 Charleston Farmers Market Poster.

Jones says "My intent is to explore life through my art and hopefully, through my paintings, people may find answers to everyday problems."

The gallery at the Rhodes Center is located off West Montague Avenue, adjacent to the North Charleston Coliseum. Hours are 9am to 5pm Monday through Saturday and admission is free.
